Acquired from the archives of Montreal's La Presse newspaper - the publication has labelled the back of the photo "Jean Ferre" which was Andre's name when he was originally brought to North America by Montreal area wrestling promoters
and passed away in 1992 at the age of 88
It has since been preserved in a protective transparent slipcover
