Modular On-Site Nitrogen Generator

Introduction

A nitrogen generator operates based on the principle of PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption), using carbon molecular sieve as the adsorbent. Under certain pressure, when purified compressed air passes through the adsorption vessels, nitrogen (N₂) is separated from the air through cycles of compression and decompression.

Because oxygen (O₂) molecules diffuse faster than nitrogen molecules within the carbon molecular sieve, oxygen is preferentially adsorbed while nitrogen is collected and delivered as the final product. After adsorption, the sieve is decompressed to release the trapped oxygen molecules — a process known as regeneration.

Typically, the system uses two towers: one for nitrogen production (PSA) and the other for regeneration. The entire process is automatically controlled by a PLC and valve system, ensuring continuous, uninterrupted operation.

Main Features

Low Operating Costs

  • The system uses natural materials and requires only compressed air and electricity, resulting in low energy consumption and operating costs.

Easily Adjustable

  • Nitrogen purity is easy to adjust and depends mainly on system capacity. Standard nitrogen purity ranges from 95% to 99.99%, while high-purity nitrogen ranges from 99% to 99.999% — both are adjustable as needed.

Small Size

  • The advantages of the modular on-site nitrogen generator are small size, low noise, and can be placed behind the reflow soldering furnace in the SMT workshop for the on-site nitrogen supply.

Well Adapted

  • The working progress is easy, the configuration is compact, the landing space is less and the enviroment is well-adapted.
  • Snow storm filling can avoid the damage of CMS.
